For the past week I have been busy with my canning projects. My family has been patient with a super messy kitchen and supper messy house while I have been doing all this. With the peaches we ended up with 33 quarts in jars and 7 quarts in bags with 3 gallon size ones set aside for peach crisp later in the year. With the spaghetti sauce we ended up with 13 pint jars. Not as many as I would have liked, so I will probably do more this week. This was my first time attempting this on my own, I think I actually enjoyed it.
You go girl! It feels so great getting things canned. Julie helps me do strawberry jam & peaches. Hmmm, Spaghetti sauce, I have tonz of tomatoes, might have to find out your recipe.
Oh, I'm so proud of you. Not just that you did the canning part, but that you took the time to learn and just do it, leaving everything else. That's a hard thing to do. Grandma Kemp would be so proud of her granddaugher. She taught dad and I how to use the canner and to love doing it. Way to go....
