Yesterday was a L O N G day for us. I have been putting off Conner getting his 4 month check-up and couldn't wait any longer. I made the appointment, not

remembering that Clint has the car all day on Mondays. I looked up the address where we needed to go; it was only 2 miles and I needed to get out and exercise anyway. So we walked. I should say, I walked, Kaily was really ornery and refused to walk. The other part I kind of knew was going to bad were the hills. Did you know that hills are a ton different when you walk them rather than drive them? I felt like I was hiking while pushing a 48 lb stroller. It felt so good to get out there and be working hard though. When we finally got to the Dr's

office Kaily was throwing fits b/c she didn't want the Dr. to give Conner any shots. She would tell any one who would listen to her that they were NOT going to give him shots. The Dr was very patient with her and tried to explain why Conner needed them and it was ok. "IT IS NOT OK THAT YOU GIVE HIM SHOTS!" I finally had to put her in the stroller and lock her in while she screamed because when the nurse came in to do the shots she about ripped the needles out of her hands. I'm glad she is so protective of her brother. She actually cried louder than he did. We left with both of them screaming, yeah for me. *SIGH* When we got home I saw my face and neck, I was fried! I covered the kids up, but forgot me. Conner slept great until that night. Now you can't even touch his legs or he freaks out. Kaily was great after a very long nap. By the end of the night I had a headache and Conner wouldn't stop screaming. Maybe the Dr. should remind ME why

they have to have the shots that make them so sick. Sometimes I wonder if it's all worth it. I know it is, but sometimes I wonder. Oh, other news, Conner is 25 inches long and 16 lbs. He's 50% in weight and 75% in height. Thank goodness or he'd look way more chunky than he is.

You are seriously a trooper Karen. There is nothing like screaming kids in a car, let alone in a long stroller walk home!
I remember walking those hills. They are something! In Charlottesville we had a ton, and Dallin and Josh together weighed 90 pounds!(I don't think Delaware has hills...)
Go take a warm bubble bath!(Not too hot with a sun burn!)
Sounds like a productive day! You're a better person than me, I would have canceled. Then again it's 113 here right now. It's cute that Kaily is protective of her brother.
yikes! You are tough! How sweet that Kaily loves her brother so much!
