Trip To Arizona

May 28- June 2 we took a trip to Arizona to see Clint's family. It's been 4 years since we've been down on the farm and it will probably be another 3 before we make it down that way again. I wish family, both of ours, were closer, but we understand and are happy when we get to spend any time with any of them. The trip has gotten considerably longer! What used to take us 13-14 hrs now takes us almost 2 days. It's amazing how much time you have to add to everything when you have little kids. Between the feedings and bathroom breaks we had to stop more often than we would have liked, oh well, I guess you take the good with the bad. The trip was a lot of fun! We spent time with Clint's grandpa Haggard and his new wife. He and Clint talked about Family History and getting records. (We are both trying to get into doing more of that.) Grandpa Haggard has an amazing garden. He raises Talapia fish and has pond where ducks have decided just come and stay; it helps that he feeds them. (= He has a ton of chickens and Kaily loved to watch them. He also has a lot of grape vines. Thank you Grandpa for letting us come and visit with you, we had a great time. Then we went across the property and visited with Uncle Jim, Aunt Terri and their two beautiful daughters, Emily and Darleen. It was fun to see them again. On Saturday we made the trek out to Ajo to visit with Ben and Theresa, Clint's brother and SIL. WE had so much fun at the pic-nic and then playing Age and Settlers of Zerahemla. It was fun to see the kids and how big they are getting, not to mention Shaelynn, we had never met her before. She is adorable! She was born a week after Conner so I had fun seeing the difference. Conner is a chunk compared to her, but I guess that's how boys grow. Then Sunday came and it was time to go home. Clint's dad got really sick while we were there so we didn't get to see him as much as we would have liked. Because of that we didn't end up leaving there until after 12 and so it took us until Monday morning to drive home. Why is it that family trips never seem to last long enough.

Thanks for the vacation pictures. You're making me very excited to come home. The boys don't need any prompting, though. They are counting down the days...

So fun! We get to go "home" next week. All of my siblings and their families will be there except for my sister on a Mission. Most of Matt's family will be there too. I'm very excited- we're going to bless Asher while we are there too.

I do not envy the long drive you took to see family. You are brave! We are flying but it would be 20 hour(time not adjusted to take 2 kids into account) drive otherwise. So driving isn't practical. I am flying by myself with the boys to get there and then Matt will fly home with me. I can't wait until the flight is over!
