We had our first preschool graduation yesterday. The teachers did an amazing job at getting the kids ready for the program and it was awesome! Of course when the music is playing my Kaily is dancing, I don't thing she can help herself. So while all the other kids were just standing there singing and doing the actions, my daughter was putting on a whole different show completed with an exuberant bow to the audience when they clapped. Her teacher tells me I should look into putting her in drama. My 4 yr old....I digress though. 
The program was great and Kaily was so excited to show us all the things she has been working on throughout the year. At Kaily's school not only do they teach them the basics but they also incorporate music into what they are learning. They start with teaching them what music notes are and then teach them the beat to each note. 
They are tested, more like just questioned, on them so that the teachers know they are able to sight read them in preparation for music lessons later on. She has informed me that she wants to learn to play the violin and the piano, maybe in another year. We are excited to send her back there next year and maybe we'll add a ballet class in there just to keep her busy. This might be a LONG summer if I don't find ways to keep her little mind busy. Before we went to graduation we went out to eat. Kaily is always asking to go to IHop, she just wants the pancakes and the restaurant atmosphere. We went to Dee's, she didn't care, she still got her pancakes. (=

Cute, cute! Are you at all surprised that her teacher suggested drama?
Great pictures. Kaily is such an amazing little girl. My favorite is the one where she is walking up the stairs. I love it!
