It has been a very busy few days for us. On Friday, May 29, we all went down to SLC for the entire weekend. Clint was so supportive in letting me hang out with a bunch of my HS friends and put on a production we did 12 years ago as a fund raiser for CHHS. It was so much fun and it was so good to see everyone again. I am glad it's over and in looking back at the whole experience it reminded me of a few things, both good and bad. If I was ever aching to get back into doing all that stuff I think it is out of my system for a while.
At least I know it's like riding a bike if I DO ever want to go back. I wasn't actually in the play, I was in my usual spot, back stage. We put everything together on Friday and then rehearsed ALL Sat. and preformed Sat. night. I was exhausted by the end and was very glad to go to my parents house to sleep.
Tuesday we went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. It was beautiful and hopefully next time I can remember to bring my camera to take pics of everything. This whole weekend I forgot my camera... Any way, we took the kids and had a great time. Kaily had so many questions and loved the whole experience and asked when she can go back. Conner was 16 months, which translates to ALL OVER THE PLACE! He was a bit of a handful, but what can you expect from one so small. If any of you are interested in going I have left a link to follow for tickets.
All of the great things that went on this weekend reminded me of some pretty important things. It made me grateful for my family, my great friends and most of all, the gospel. There are not words to express just how thankful I am to have married the man I did and to have the knowledge I have. My eyes were opened to some disappointments this weekend and it made me truly humble and thankful for the light in my life and what puts it there.

Were they your disappointments? You always have such a good attitude and are a great example to all of us. We can't wait to see you next week! We love you!
I love your posts, Karen! I like the new header, too. Glad you had some experiences this weekend that helped keep perspective. We love you guys!!
We are headed down the street to the open house Sat. I know what you're talking about with Conner. When we went to the Draper Open House Logan was a bit of a handful & we get to do it again with him. It's so special to be able to go through with your kids. We've been watching the Temple go up. Take care
It sounds like the play went well. I got the e-mail and really really wanted to go, but we had other things going on that night. I'm excited to go to the open house. Thanks for your fun blog!
