Sounds of Freedom

We live fairly close to Hill Air force Base so all day long, especially in the Spring and Summer months, we hear jets flying over head. I used to think it was a little annoying and it also felt a little bit like home. When I was growing up we lived close to Airport 2 in SLC, I don't know the name now. Anyway we would hear similar things during similar months. I've learned to just except the fact that it happens. Then on Wednesday we were in Layton, just up the road from the base, looking at a van. The man who's van it was worked for HAB and as 3-4 jets fly by he said, "Doesn't the sound of freedom sound great?!" That changed my perspective a bit. We are so lucky to live in the country that we do with the freedoms that we have. We are lucky to have the opportunities that we have. Even though the gov't, in my opinion, isn't so great right now it was founded upon good morals and beliefs. It was founded by good religious men who believed in that freedom and the rights that we have. Today, I am grateful to that man who reminded me of the things we sometimes take for granted.
