Gardening

This year is the first time since Clint and I have been married that we have been able to do a garden. It's a small garden, 3 tomato plants and 2 squash plants, but it's just right for us right now. We are so happy to be able to have our own tomatoes and we love to eat zucchini all summer long. If Kaily had her way we would eat it and grow it all year long. So far we have picket 3 yellow zucchinis and 2 green ones. Today I picked our first tomato and tomorrow I'll make bread so we can have yummy sandwiches with it. It may seen silly to be proud of such small things, but we really are and Kaily loves to help us with weeding and watering. She rushes out to check on the plants every day or at least reminds us to do it. Conner likes it too, at least the dirt part. (=
The red ones on here should be ready in a few more days...YUMM I can't wait!
This is the tomato I picked today.

This is the yellow zucchini I picked today.

Do you know how proud your father is????? You are doing a garden. This is one of the life-teachings passed down through generations. Beginning with Grandma Claunch to Grandma Marie Kemp. She love gardening and had an amazing green thumb for growing things. Dad had a good teacher. Then he learned about growboxes. And we've never looked back. Our garden is so prolific, we've had to give stuff away. We are so proud that you would do the work it takes to prepare, plant, care, harvest, and clean up. But the best part is in the tasting of your labors. YUMMY, congratulations on such wonderful produce.
