Day 11-Another picture of you and your friends

I don't have any pics of me with my friends, but I do have a pic of all of our kids.  There are two missing who were sleeping at the time.

Little gifts from Conner

C: "Mom, you're NOT the boss!"

Me: "Who is the boss then?"

C: "YOU'RE the boss!"

C: "Mom, you can change my bum," said as if this were the best present he could give me.

Me: "When are you going to start using the potty like a big boy?"

C: "I'm not a big boy, Mommy, I'm just your Conner."

Me: "Conner, I'm talking on the phone, can you wait a minute?"

C: Grabs my face and pulls it towards him, "I need your attention RIGHT NOW or you will have a TIME OUT."

Me: "K can I have my time out now?"

C: "NOPE you need to listen to me and not the phone."

C: "Mommy, can you read me this book and hold me for a while?" It's hard to resist him.

C: "See those flowers, we need to buy flowers for Grandma cuz that would make her SO happy."

C: "I need to go to Grandma's house today." As we are driving to get Kaily from school.

Me: "We do? But Grandma isn't home."

C: "Then we can pick her up from wk, that would make her happy. And then Papa can buy pizza A N D Kaily can have a play date with Marti and I can have a play date with Grandma and you and Corvin can go shopping." (he can't say the b in Corbin's name.)

Me: "Conner, Grandma is on a trip."

C: "Then I will wait for her on her lawn."

C: "Mommy, I love you."

Day 10-Songs you listen to when you're bored, happy, sad, mad, hyped

WOW, this challenge has made me feel so BORING!

To be honest I can't tell you who sings what songs and I can't tell you the name of the songs like other people I know. I'm one of those people who google the words to find the name and artist. So this one will have to be limited to genre of music.

Most of the time I listen to country. When working out I listen to a lot of alternative and punk, and all the other times I listen to Backyardagins, Barney, Wiggles or anything else that the kids happen to be listening to. Once in a while I listen to churchy songs and FM100.

Day 9-Something you're proud of in the past few days

Today we made a Valentine tree. The kids asked me if we could leave the Christmas tree up a little longer so I decided to make it a Valentine tree. Today we made the Valentines. I don't usually let my kids help me with crafty things, Clint does. It makes me crazy to let them b/c I'm kind of a perfectionist and I like things to look a certain way. I am proud of myself for letting them and then letting them choose how to decorate them.

I am also proud of myself for letting the small things go, like the bow Kaily wears in her hair to school, ie: NOT a color that matches her outfit. This takes a lot of will power for me to do, but I am learning the power of letting her express herself. I just tell myself it's just a bow not the whole outfit and I would rather this type of self-expression than some other things.

Day 8-Short term goals for this month and when you'll accomplish them

The month is almost over so this is for next month.

It seems that my brain went on vacation this last month, or maybe it's just coming back from having a baby, either way I feel very behind on lots of things. Things that should not be ignored have been and things that should be ignored have not. So my goal for this next month is to make sure I'm on top of all the important things before it's to late to take care of.
