Garden Update

Kale, this is remarkable easy to grow.  I don't think I'll plant so much next time.  A little bit of this plant goes along way

Our first broccoli head.

All four broccoli plants

Spinach and strawberries

Our fist signs of tomatoes.  This plant is my Fourth of July, we love these!

May at a glance...  We've been so busy around here having fun that I haven't wanted to blog.  Her are some pics that tell what we've been up to

Kaily was a Zombie for her end of the year Opera

The kids did everything for their opera, it was well done and very cute!

Kaily finished soccer this year.  We won't do it again next year, she wants to try dance.

We went to the zoo with Amy and her kids

Yummy Strawberries!

I LOVE Spring!

The blossoms on the peach tree are out, the tulips are in bloom, my kale is coming up as well as the spinach, peas are popping up and broccoli is growing.  Soon there will be tomatoes, peppers and other things I haven't decided on yet.

ouch

Last week I was working out and it was fantastic!  I felt SO good when we finished.  Tired and a little shaky, but good.  I went on with the day and still felt really good.  The next morning I woke up and couldn't move.  It felt like I had been hit by a bus or some other large vehicle.  I iced the area and took some pain meds.  One week later and I'm seing a Chiropractor due to migraines and other debilitating effects.  It's crazy what the mind can do.  In talking things over with the Dr. we've come to the conclusion that this pain is largely due to muscle memory.  I've been in 5 car accidents in my life, it's amazing I'm still here.  The pain I'm experiencing is akin to whiplash, with out the disc malfunction.  So, when I said I felt like I had been hit, my body actually was remembering being hit in 5 different ways.  The pain is really due to some strained muscles from my workout, but the reaction is muscle memory.

Enjoying family time

There is nothing better than being with family!
